Etapa 4 Pamplona-Puente de la Reina
This is a 24 Km stage. We got up very early and walk around the city took pictures of Pamplona , had breakfast at a nice coffee shop and started our day. A few miles out of town, we met a woman from South Africa who was having problem with her ankles, Mark gave her some pills to help her and from them on every time she saw us she would say there is my angel.
Mark helped many people and I don’t think I could have made it without his help and care.
Puente de la Reina is a beautiful small town name after a bridge built by the Romans 800 years BC.
Some pictures of El Camino and Puente de la Reina
Etapa 5 Puente de la Reina -Estella
This was a 24 Km. walk, but my feet were really bad with many blisters so we decided to stay in a small town called Villatuerta we were passing by when we saw some of our Camino Friends (Debby from Rhode Island and Nicole from France) they told us that the Hostal was very nice and we decided to stay, so our walk was only 20 KM that day.
The hostal was really nice a very old building all restored, run by a Brazilian couple who did the Camino a few years back and decided to come back to Spain and be Hospitaleros ( I have a picture of Simone(hospitalera) with her dog).We had dinner with our before mention friends and a group of 22 Germans. It's fascinating talking to the pilgrims and listening to their stories and reasons for doing the Camino.
Nicole(the French lady) informed me that they've just made a film called "the Way" and it was presented in Cannes. It was made by Emilio Estevez and it is about "El Camino" It will be in the cinemas in the States in September.
